"It has," she agrees. "But some of us spend even longer away, so it's not taken personally."

Moon sighs and looks down at the rippling water.

"I think I come home too much, maybe. It's nice here. Quiet. No one to look after. I know it can't last, and I'll have to go back eventually, but for now... it's nice. Just a respite."
