With Pisces as its ruling sign, the Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. The Querent who gets this card should be warned that they may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if they have any past mental problems, they must be vigilant in taking their medication. They should avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause them irreparable damage. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. Moon herself is something of a schizophrenic. Her mood is, to an extent, dictated by the actual phase of the moon. New moon, she is dark and moody. First quarter, she's mystical and ethereal. Half moon brings out diplomatic and pacifistic tendencies, though it is the only portion of the phase that she is the most mentally balanced. Third quarter finds her playful and sexually free. Finally, the full moon brings out her madness. The times in between the distinct phases are particularly crazy as the two aspects vie for dominance, with the waxing aspect gradually growing strength over the waning. She tends to be slightly erratic, haunted by visions and the madness she represents in humanity.

She is a poet, full of intuition and primal magic. Moon is capable of acting as a muse for the things she represents: prophecy, madness, genius, and general creativity. She is the door into a secret, dreamy world of fierce, dark magics and wonderful, brilliant creation. She occasionally can be found with her two wolf companions, Mons (female white wolf) and Mare (brown-grey male wolf), who bravely, silently guard her. In 2007, she added to her guardian entourage, keeping two males from Mons and Mare's litter: Rigel and Mintaka.

Moon is usually dressed in a filmy white skirt, a white corset, and no shoes. Assume this unless the narrative says differently. :)

Note: It should be noted that because she is a personification of the moon, shifters that are dominated by lunar cycles may (at the mun's discretion) feel uncomfortable or jittery around her, and may even have difficulty maintaining control over their form, especially as she waxes closer to full. She has the capacity to speak with and tame a shifter in their animal form, for they are bound by the moon and therefore her, but again, it's at the mun's discretion.
