Tarot Beach Party
There are those of the tarot who know how to set up for a party.
Ruin had spent most of the afternoon building the bonfire. He has carefully made it much in the way he would have with the villagers of his mortal life when they would celebrate the harvests. Charity, Unity, and Skill had spent most of the day setting up food, both their sorts of foods and the sorts the sentients would be expecting.
Moon watched it all with rapt fascination, her eyes on the marshmallows Skill told her firmly she isn't allowed to touch yet. But they're white and fluffy looking and Moon is curious. Mons barks at her, warning Skill, and Moon is shooed off.
It's Fortune who puts out blankets, spread all over the beach area for everyone to use. Moon watches her family set up for a party, for guests... real guests who are coming simply to come instead of for answers. She watches Fortune set down a large stack of very warm looking towels, and she grins.
Swimming. Damian will like the swimming.
Her wolves run up and down the beach in excitement, and Moon knows it's time.
Disappearing back to Milliways, she sets it up so people can come and go as they need to, pleased with herself and her family.

Re: The Forest
There's a sigh of relief as the tapestry falls back. Scary fucking cat...
Re: The Forest
There were the lower rooms, filled with all the portraits and art and odds and ends... and then there were the upper rooms, each one for one of the tarot.
Re: The Forest
Re: The Forest
"Ruin made me come home so Skill could paint me when I danced."
Re: The Forest
She looks so beautiful...
"This is amazing, Moon. Absolutely beautiful." He tears his eyes from the painting to smile at her. "You never did bring those toe-shoes to dance for me."
Re: The Forest
Re: The Forest
"You should dance more. I know how much you love it." He grins, nuzzling her ear. "Any place to dance here?"

Re: The Forest
She heads for the main stairwell, leading him up past the tapestries, even hers, until they hit the fifth landing. She takes a left at the landing and passes three doors. The fourth door on the right she opens, stepping into an oversized suit decorated in pastels -- blue, pink, purple -- with white accents. The floor is wooden, one wall full of mirrors.
It's very feminine without being girly, with the wall opposite the mirrors full of windows.
Re: The Forest
"Pretty room," he comments as he steps in. He moves through the room, leaning against her bed and waiting with a warm smile.
Re: The Forest
But no stuffed animals.
She digs in her wardrobe and comes out with her toe-shoes and a simple white shift. Moon wriggles into the dress before sitting herself on the floor and putting on the toe pads before stuffing her feet into the shoes and tying the ribbons up her ankles.
Moon stands up, going through some simple stretching exercises of her feet in the shoes, the moves easily recalled and moved through. You would never know that she forgot anything about this dancing as she prepares to do just that for Jason.
Re: The Forest
It occurs to him that he's never been with anyone who even remotely shared his love of dancing, and a smile spreads across his face as he sits back and enjoys her dance.
Re: The Forest
The movements are long, elegant, her feet up en pointe most of the time. She can't manage the huge leaps in the confined space, but she does do some of the smaller ones. It's an improvised piece, utilizing every space on the floor, her eyes open, hair loose, her arms gracefully moving with the music and her feet.
It shows in each movement of feet, arms, and body how much she loves dancing, how much time she's devoted to it over millennia of time. It is her passion, something that madness and time and power has never stripped from her.
Re: The Forest
And it's quiet at last in his mind, with nothing but the sweet sound of her music box as she dances.
He's smiling softly as her dance ends, so moved by her performance that he is still at the bed and waiting for her to look back to him.
Re: The Forest
She smiles at him. A simple smile full of all sorts of complex things.
Re: The Forest
"I love you."
It slips out simply, but there's no regret in his eyes. He does, and that's ok.
Re: The Forest
"I love you too," she murmurs against his mouth.
Just as simply replied.
Re: The Forest
It felt good to say it and hear it back.
His hands rest lightly on her hips, his mouth still pressed to hers as he speaks. "Ok, not nearly as scary as I thought. Silly wolf, huh?"
Re: The Forest
"No." Understanding shines in her eyes. "A frightened wolf who needed time."
Time she had been happy to give to him.
Re: The Forest
He dips his forehead to meet her as his hands massage up her spine. He gives a soft chuckle.
"I love you." He says it again, almost marveling in the ability to voice it.
Re: The Forest
"Does this mean I can say it whenever I like now?"
She's been very careful about when she says it so far.
Re: The Forest
Re: The Forest
Moon likes the warmth his words causes to bloom in her stomach.
"If I'd known I just needed to dance for you..."
Re: The Forest
He tickles her spine and kisses her. "No," he says in a low voice, "it was just...everything today adding up. I had a really good time with you and your family tonight."
